Lord Winklebottom Investigates is a point-and-click murder mystery adventure game set in a 1920s-inspired world. Developed by Cave Monsters and released for the Nintendo Switch on July 28, 2022, the game features Lord Winklebottom, a detective giraffe, and his companion Dr. Frumple, a hippopotamus. They travel to a secluded island to meet Admiral Gilfrey, only to discover that he has been murdered.
The gameplay follows traditional point-and-click mechanics, where players explore environments, collect clues, and question suspects to solve the case. The game is fully voice-acted in English and features hand-drawn 2D visuals. The writing blends classic detective storytelling with British humor, and the soundtrack is inspired by 1920s jazz.
